Abstract: Using results on brother correlations in permanent earnings for different groups of second generation immigrants based on administrative data from Denmark, this letter analyzes the role of cultural background in the determination of the level of intergenerational mobility. The results indicate that cultural background is not a major determinant of the level of intergenerational economic mobility
